Archistar’s own site carries no meta description, but its headline is direct: identify site opportunity and feasibility anywhere in Australia. The body copy describes identifying development potential, valuation and risk on any site, and generating compliant 3D design concepts with AI — work aimed at developers, home builders, architects and government.
That is a different stage of the same project to the one UpScale.build occupies. Archistar’s job, by its own description, ends around the moment a site looks worth pursuing. UpScale’s job starts once you have committed to one: the feasibility that got you there becomes the budget everything after settlement is checked against.
Finding a site well means comparing options — yield against cost across a set of candidates, none of which you have committed to yet. Speed and breadth matter more than permanence, because most of what gets screened is discarded.
Owning a site changes what “feasibility” has to do. The number stops being one of several comparisons and becomes the figure a funder was shown, the figure a claim gets measured against, and the figure that still has to hold up when a variation arrives eighteen months later. A design tool built for breadth is not the same shape of tool as one built to keep a single number honest over an eighteen-month build.
UpScale.build is built for the second job. Approving a feasibility writes it into an Original Budget that cannot be quietly edited, and residual land value, GST treatment and margin are all tracked against that one fixed position as tenders, claims and variations move through delivery.

If the work in front of you is finding a site at all — comparing yield, envelope and design potential across candidates before you have committed to any one of them — Archistar’s own description is built for exactly that. We are not trying to take that job on and would not do it well.
Come here once a site has stopped being a candidate and become the one deal you are underwriting.
Property development software for the client side — Australian developers and client-side project managers. Feasibility is free; approving one freezes it into an Original Budget, and delivery is read back against that baseline: tenders, progress claims, variations, site diary, defects and funder reporting. Documents stay in your own Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive. Consultants, builders and clients you invite do not cost a seat.
Feasibility is $0 — 3 projects at a time, no card. Developer free until 1 January 2027, then $149 AUD a month includes 1 active project; Portfolio $299 includes 5. Extra active projects are $49 a month within each package, Portfolio X is $499 for 10, and archived projects are free and read-only. People you invite are free, up to 50 per project on Developer and 100 on Portfolio.
Only for the second half of the job. Archistar's own site is built around identifying development potential, valuation and risk on a site, and generating compliant 3D design concepts — the work of finding and shaping an opportunity before you own it. UpScale.build starts closer to settlement: a feasibility you approve becomes the budget everything after purchase is measured against. Shopping for site discovery, look elsewhere; shopping for what happens once the contract is signed, keep reading.
Plenty of teams do exactly that. Archistar's stated job is screening potential and generating design concepts across sites you have not bought yet; ours begins once a site becomes one deal you are underwriting. Re-entering the cost structure into UpScale's feasibility at that point, rather than carrying a design file forward unedited, is what lets the approved feasibility become an immutable budget rather than a set of assumptions someone has to re-check later.
No. That is deliberately Archistar's territory, not ours — its own page describes generating compliant 3D design concepts with AI, which is a different discipline to tracking a budget once one is approved. UpScale's feasibility engine prices a scheme you or your consultants have already settled on; it does not draw one.
No. Archistar's own audience list names developers, home builders, architects and government among the people it serves; UpScale.build is narrower — Australian property developers and the client-side project managers who carry the margin on their behalf. If you are an architect looking for design or compliance tooling, or a council evaluating applications, this product was not built with your workflow in mind.
With the feasibility for the site you have actually settled on. Create a free account, price the deal properly, and approve it only when you are ready to commit — that approval is the step that turns a model into a budget nothing later can quietly rewrite.
