Built by a developer, for developers

I'm Noel Yaxley. I've worked in property development in Australia for years — managing projects from site acquisition through to settlement, running feasibilities, tracking claims, chasing contractors for variations, and fighting with spreadsheets that stopped working the moment someone opened the wrong version.

Every project was the same story. A feasibility in one spreadsheet. Claims tracked in another. Variations in an email chain. The site diary in someone's notebook. The programme in a Gantt chart nobody updated. And the client asking for an update I couldn't give without spending half a day pulling numbers together.

I looked for software that covered the full development lifecycle — something that handled feasibility, claims, variations, tenders, site diaries, and lot sales in one place. The enterprise platforms (Procore, Aconex) were designed for Tier 1 builders with dedicated IT teams and six-figure budgets. The construction apps were built for builders, not developers. And the spreadsheet templates I'd accumulated over the years were brittle, disconnected, and one broken formula away from a bad decision.

So I built UpScale.

UpScale.build is the platform I wished existed when I was running developments. It covers the full lifecycle from feasibility to settlement. It's built for small development teams — the 1-5 person outfits managing $500k to $5M projects who need something better than spreadsheets but can't justify enterprise software.

The product is in early access right now. I'm building it alongside a small group of developers who are using it on real projects and shaping the product with their feedback. If you're a property developer, development manager, or client-side PM who wants to stop juggling spreadsheets, I'd love to hear from you.
